muddy pitch winning on Sunday Nov 15th against Colts Neck.
They celebrated many goals and plenty of great passing and
game strategy, not to mention lots of muddy fun!!! This
victory brings them one step closer to a 500 record for the
season with 2 games left in Premier 1 and must need wins!!!
...
Please come out to our last season home game this
Thursday night 11/19 @ 6:30 to support and cheer them on
when they vs the #1 team, NJX-Holmdel, in the Jersey Coast
premier 1 - U8 boys division!"
The 1st/2nd grade girls and boys recreation program put
together an Allstar team to battle against Old Bridge the
last two Sundays. On Sunday November 1 under the lights on
Old Bridge's pitch, Neptune's Allstars put on a great effort
in a 2-1 loss, and the evening was capped off with a mixed
group of 1st and 2nd graders against a older and larger Old
Bridge squad made up of U-8 boys. On Sunday November 8th,
Old Bridge's U-7 allstar recreation team visited Neptune,
and again under the lights on their home turf, Neptune
battled. The night was capped off with a game between the
Neptune Allstars, and many stayed around to play and to
watch. The group was then treated to Hot Dogs and drinks,
and Old Bridge was invited as well. The kids had a really
great time, and the games were well-attended with loyal
fans.

Many organized sports are available to children in Neptune,
but soccer has proven to be one of the most popular, attracting
hundreds of players of all ages each season to both the
Recreation and the Travel Soccer programs.
Neptune Soccer Association, for many years, has provided the
framework for children to learn this exciting and rewarding
sport while developing individual skills and learning the
importance of teamwork. |
| The
recreational program, known as Neptune Recreation Soccer,
emphasizes fun and the learning the basics of soccer. While
teams play games against other teams within the community,
individual team standings are not kept, and sportsmanship, not
winning, is stressed. This program has been highly successful
and extremely popular, attracting hundreds of children every
season. For children who wish to place a greater emphasis on
soccer in order to further develop skills in a more competitive
environment that still stresses sportsmanship and fun, there is
the Neptune Travel Soccer Program. As the name suggests, teams
in this program travel outside Neptune township to compete
against teams from other soccer clubs. Practices are generally
more frequent and longer than for players in recreation. This
brochure will attempt to explain some other aspects of the
Travel Program and answer some of the most often asked
questions. |
