My name is Ashley Miller and I will be your coordinator for
the 2009 Uniroyal Soccer Program.

As a national supporter of youth soccer, Uniroyal^® Tire has developed this local outreach program to enable its tire dealers to make an impact in their local communities. Since the program launch in 2000, Uniroyal and its dealers have donated nearly $12 million in funds and equipment, including nearly one million soccer balls, to soccer families across America.

Objectives of the Uniroyal Soccer Program:

·         To introduce the dealer to your soccer organization.

·         To develop a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship between the organization, Uniroyal Tire and the local Uniroyal dealer.

·         To support youth soccer at the local level with a cash donation and soccer ball giveaway.

Long Term Vision:

Uniroyal Tire and its dealers have developed relationships with hundreds of youth soccer leagues across the country. Our vision is to create long-term, win-win relationships between league/clubs, dealers and Uniroyal; relationships that provide tangible benefits to leagues and their families in the form of free equipment and funds, which in turn, may help foster a relationship among league families with Uniroyal Tire and the local dealer.

HOW THE SOCCER PROGRAM WORKS –

The Program consists of three sections:

 

SECTION 1. Free Soccer Ball Giveaway:

A customized ball certificate/rebate document will be produced and sent by UPS to a league contact to distribute to the organization’s soccer families. It will inform them that your local BJ’s store has free soccer balls to give away -- no purchase necessary. The soccer families that choose to redeem the certificate will simply bring in the ball certificate to get a high-quality, four-ply ball (official size and weight) while supplies last. The certificates are provided one per person and mass pickups are not allowed. Coaches may not bring in multiple certificates to redeem for soccer balls for their team; rather individual families may come in for the soccer balls. The soccer balls have previously been ordered and may be available in various sizes. The actual sizes available at the store will be indicated on the certificate.

 

The certificates are available in exchange for a soccer ball from

October 1 – October 31 at your local BJ’s store.

 

 

SECTION 2. Cash Donation:

For each Uniroyal tire sold to any consumer in your community during the specified 30-day promotion period, Uniroyal will make a cash donation of $2.00 per tire to your soccer organization. Your local BJ’s will display a counter card as advertisement for the donation.

 

 

SECTION 3.  Exclusive League Rebate Coupon:

The soccer ball certificate document will also include a manufacturer's mail-in rebate for league families only. The rebate offer is good for $70 off a set of four new Michelin^® tires, $50 off a set of four new BFGoodrich^® tires, or $40 off a set of four new BFGoodrich^® or Uniroyal^® tires. This rebate is good for 60 days.

 

Along with a manufacturer’s mail-in-rebate your local BJ’s store is offering a FREE 60-day trial membership on each certificate.

 

The only thing we ask of your organization is to hand out the ball certificate/rebate document to all soccer organization families directing them to your local BJ’s store. We will also send you a press release, which we ask that you put on your website (and newsletter, etc.) if possible.
